Saku for AI assistants
Give your assistant the context to get work done
Connect Claude, Cursor or another MCP-compatible assistant to your Saku workspace. Bring your boards and client work into the conversation, then act on what you decide.
Create an account for free. API keys and MCP access require Max. Max
Choose how to connect
MCP Max
Use the hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint at https://saku.ie/mcp, or run the npm package locally with your API key.
REST API Max
Build your own integration with scoped API keys at /api/v1. Start with the OpenAPI description for typed requests and responses.
Saku Mail, coming soon
Saku Mail has its own MCP server at mail.saku.ie. When it opens, a key with the mail scopes will let your assistant read, search, draft and send your own mail, and never a teammate's.

These requests use tools in the Saku MCP server. Review the proposed changes with your assistant before it makes them.
“Move the cards labelled blocked on the launch board to Review and tell me who owns each.”
Your assistant reads the board, checks labels and assignees, then moves matching cards to Review on the same board.
list_boards, get_board, list_members, move_card
“Log 2 hours against the website card for today.”
Your assistant finds the card and creates a 120 minute time entry for you, linked to that card.
get_board, create_time_entry
“Create a draft invoice for Acme with a line for 4 hours of design at €80 per hour.”
Your assistant finds Acme in CRM and creates a draft with the line items you specified. Sending the invoice is a separate action.
list_crm_accounts, create_invoice
“Read the project brief and add a note with the open questions.”
Your assistant reads the team note and creates a new note in a writable team vault.

Work across your workspace
Boards and cards
Read boards, lists, labels and assignees. Create cards and lists, edit card details, move cards within a board, or archive them.
Team notes
Read, create and update notes in team vaults. Personal notes stay outside this connection.
CRM
Find accounts and contacts. Create leads and deals, update their stages and log client communications.
Time and invoices
Log your time, start or stop your timer, and read invoices. Create draft invoices with manual lines, or send an invoice with the required permissions.
Choose the permissions
A key belongs to one team. Choose its scopes when you create it, such as reading boards without permission to change cards. A team administrator creates the key, and can revoke it when the connection is no longer needed.
Time tools act for the key owner. Sending invoices also requires that owner to be a team owner or administrator. Your assistant still needs your instructions about when to make changes.
Read about scopes and accessSet up your first connection
- Create a Saku account and upgrade your team to Max.
- As a team administrator, create a key in Settings, API. Choose only the scopes your assistant needs.
- Add the hosted endpoint and a Bearer header in your MCP host, or use this local configuration with Node.js 22 or later. Restart the host and ask it to list your boards.
